New South Wales packs more variety into its farm country than any other state. Within a few hours of Sydney you can be picking your way through subtropical hinterland behind Byron Bay, watching vineyard rows roll past a Hunter Valley cattle paddock, or pulling on a jumper for a misty morning in the Southern Highlands. Head further south-west and the country climbs into the Snowy Mountains, where working properties run cattle and horses across some of the highest grazing land in Australia.
That spread means a farm stay in New South Wales can be whatever you want it to be. Families tend toward the dairy and hobby farms of the coast and tablelands, where kids can bottle-feed lambs before breakfast. Couples gravitate to wine country, where a farmhouse cottage sits ten minutes from a cellar door. Riders come for the high country, where many properties have yards and paddocks ready for a travelling horse and trails leading straight off the property.
The regions below are the state's best-known farm-stay country, but they behave very differently through the year. The hinterland stays green and warm when the ranges are frosted, and the Snowies are at their finest in autumn and early summer when the alpine roads are clear. Loads to see and do or just unravel all the stress away chilling out at camp with your favorite horse. Perfect hills to tire out your horse on, grassy flats for flat work, senic trails and guided rides can also be arranged. Packing enthusiests very welcome, and packing rides (your horses, your gear) can help be organised using farm as a base, back up vehicle suport, planning for klms and camps etc depending on individual needs.

Perched on a sweeping vista of 30acres, The Loft is our newest high-end space, designed for those who crave an escape steeped in rugged elegance. This unique hideaway features a spacious Whistler king bed and free standing bath with panoramic views over the Ranch on a mezzanine level. The sunrises at wakeup are simply magical. In the heart of the space is a dramatic natural stone column wood-burning fireplace, perfect to enjoy a glass of wine or scotch on ice. On the lower level, there are a pair of king single bunks, laundry, full kitchen with dishwasher and plumbed fridge. Outside, you have you own private area with BBQ and/or open fire pit. Your horses can enjoy similar luxury with premium Duncan Equine rail, shelters in all runs, auto waters, hot wash in the stable complex and much more. The AELEC complex is only a short 3-4 minute drive away. Directly opposite the Stockmans hotel, you don't need to worry if you don't want to cook with the best steak and pizza just across the road!
Camping or Nearby Short term accomodation house available.
Ranch is under construction so type of yards available are constantly getting upgraded to post/rail/horse mesh, if necessary electric fences can be erected depending availability of other yards. No stables as of yet. Water will be made available to all horses. Camping only available at FF Ranch - if camping is not your thing. We do have a nearby short term accommodation house available upon request (3Km away) - Message for details regarding short term accommodation house and pricing - Note horses/floats would be required to stay at FF Ranch.
