Cheiron Park Retirement Agistment

Cheiron Park Retirement Agistment has 130 acres of beautiful grazing land that is used for a herd of retired horses. There are currently 22 horses here that are aged between 10 and 37. The horses live in a herd, and have access to 3 x 40 acre paddocks. There is also small paddock areas for horses subject to laminitis and several yards when/if I need to hand feed through winter. I charge $65 per week and that includes the horses being checked twice a day, rugging and unrugging in the winter months as they need, normally for about 14-16 weeks. I also hand feed when required. Any feed for hand feeding is at the owner expense. All my clients have an account set up at the local produce store, and I pick up feed as needed. My aged horses are normally fed old timers, green chaff, copra mixed with beet flakes, which helps keep weight on. I am always happy to feed anything the owner prefers. I organise the farrier every 12-16 weeks or earlier if needed, as none of the horses have shoes, (but can organise if needed), and drench at the same time. I have stables but don’t regularly stable, as the horses do better in the paddocks, they get less stiff as they get older. I get their teeth done annually.
