The Stables is a fully self-contained studio on 200 acres located 15 minutes north of beautiful, historic Gundaroo, NSW. Strategically located just 15 mins off the Federal Hwy if travelling from Sydney to Canberra/Melbourne. Detached from the main residence, guests will be surrounded by farm and native animals. As a wildlife release ground, the property is frequented by kangaroos, wallabies, wallaroos, wombats and echidnas. Bird enthusiasts will also take delight in the visiting bird life which includes the resident wedge tail eagles. Guests have access to the property with hikes available in a national park like setting. For those intrigued by rural life, spend time with the animals and explore. For the wildlife warriors, learn about the ongoing conversation efforts and challenges while experiencing these amazing creatures up close and personal. Undertaking the journey of a lifetime and riding (horse) the National Bicentennial / National Horse Trail between Healesville, Vic. and Cooktown Qld? We have you covered! Located only 4.2 km off the trail both rider and horse can overnight and rest. A veterinary crush, undercover holding yards and round yard are available. We are surrounded by some of the best cool climate wineries around. (Lerida Estate and Tallagandra Hill to name a few).
