About This Experience
Relax in our thoughtfully appointed country cottage, featuring modern comforts such as air-conditioning, complimentary Wi-Fi, Google Play, and a welcoming fireplace for chilly evenings. Settle in on the back porch with a captivating book and a glass of your favourite beverage or enjoy watching your horses graze in the paddock from your kitchen window. Delight in the abundant birdlife throughout the day, spot wallabies at dusk, and, on clear nights gaze up at the spectacular stars and milky way (BYO binoculars for an unforgettable experience). For guests travelling with horses, we proudly offer: • A private, fully fenced, and secure front paddock that comfortably accommodates two horses • Fresh water will be provided; but grass is at short supply so please bring your own feed and hay to ensure your horses' needs are met Riding on the property isn’t available due to insurance requirements, but you’ll find excellent local riding trails, reputable riding schools, and a fully lit sand arena just a short drive away. Local Riding Trails to explore are: • Nash Horse Riding Trails – 20-minute drive • Brisbane Valley Rail Trail (horse, bike, walking) – 161 km of walk, bike or horse ride trail 20-minute drive • Logan Reserve (horse, bike, walking trails) – 20-minute drive Other activities Wivenhoe Dam Swim, paddle, picnic -30-minute drive Crow's Nest National Park and Ravensbourne National Park, beautiful walking trails approximately- 50- minutes away For the Adrenalin Junkies Skydive Ramblers Toogoolawah-40-minute drive Local Attractions to explore: Esk Township – 20 minutes away, with a blend of small antique & boutique shops Brisbane Valley Roasters-20 minutes' drive - great coffee and food right next to the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail.

Things to know
A few simple guidelines for short stay visits - arrival, facilities, and what to bring.
Horses must be kept within the designated areas only. Gates must be closed at all times for the safety of all livestock. Store horse feed securely.
Due to insurance premiums, riding is not possible on our property, but we can provide lots of great ideas and places to ride and explore.
Please clean up after your horse, including manure in shared or common use areas, leave all spaces as you found them.
Our off-grid system is able to support additional use of power, but we support a mindful use of resources. Turn off lights, use only what you need.
All horses must be well handled, calm & used to new environments. The owner is fully responsible for the care, supervision of their horse at all times

About the host
Just over 18 months ago we took the plunge and took on this off grid overgrown farm. Little we know much hard work, blood, sweat and tears followed. But we are now and open to share our love for this land and our beautiful horses, Eric the Donkey, Henrietta the clucky chicken and our fluffy duck
